PENWITH GALLERY ASSOCIATE MEMBERS WINTER EXHIBITION.

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the Private view last week. It’s an important gallery, both historically for St Ives artists, and presently for me personally. For my SEA CIRCLE to be accepted is confirmation I am on the right path. Everything about my work being shown in the gallery feels right. Life can and does take unexpected turns and so I will embrace this whilst looking ahead.

The Cornish coast is home and Porthmeor beach is a full source of inspiration.

SEA CIRCLE - SUMMER takes you there. The pure white central circle represents the sun on a sweltering summer day.

The joyful, textural, and very true, depiction of the ocean brings one’s personal summer memories to mind.

SEA CIRCLE - PORTHMEOR - ST IVES was inspired by the same beach.

As always, the circle brings a feeling of motion when viewed. The ebb and flow of tides and waves.

The exhibition runs until 5th January 2026.
